Gyokuro Kanro - Ippodo

Today seemed like a good time to enjoy gyokuro again. We really liked the taste but because of its caffeine content, we only enjoy it in the morning either on weekends or on our day-off. It's a Valentine's Day. This gyo would be perfect to flush fat or calorie from my husband's to-die-for home-made chocolate cake we had earlier :-)

This time I brewed the leaves in the unglazed houhin Banko-Yaki teapot. The spent leaves look fresh, beautiful green in color and feel very soft to the touch

We slowly enjoyed drinking this gyokuro through its 4th brew with the company of these beautiful 2 dozens roses from hubby.
